Salona Yachts introduced the Salona 45 at the 2006 United States Sailboat Show in Annapolis. The Salona 45 went immediately into Boat of the Year judging where it was a finalist in both the cruising and racing categories.

This is a remarkable achievement in a contest weighted toward more single-purpose solutions and offers proof that “Salona Yachts are for sailors who want it all.”

Designed by J&J Designs, she is a true performance-cruiser. Stiff and powerful, yet responsive in light winds.

The Salona 45 has water tight bulkheads (using glands to house the passing wires).

She has been built with multiaxial handlaminated GRP sandwich construction (AIREX and PVC closed cells). The first layers of laminate have been made with vinylester resin, giving the perfect anti-osmosis protection to the hull.
